Tabletop Xmas Trees
I am excited to partner with 20×200 on this project. I love the “art for all” message, and agree that good design and art doesn’t have to be too expensive! I like to design something that’s sophisticated, yet simple to put together. That’s often my challenge, because I really like to capture small details, and delicate elements.Â
I wanted to design a Xmas tree in a structural style with flowing lines like a doodle of a tree. Everything is flat-packed à la IKEA style, with simple and fun instructions. The process of making something is enjoyable, makes you more intimate with the object. These trees can be a blank canvas for people to personalize. They can be combined with other objects, painted, decorated, or left pure and simple. The repeating curves create a lot of beautiful intersections and shadows.
