Resting on a Bush
“All that I need is inside of me.” , Sinead O’Connor. Resting on a Bush is from my earlier project Imaginary Girlfriend. I did this project when I first came to the USA and studied photography. At that time, I was pretty much isolated from everything and everyone I was familiar with. But loneliness is not something I’m scared of; instead I enjoyed the uninterrupted internal dialogue with myself. I viewed myself as my imaginary girlfriend. In my photos, I faced the possibility of being a lesbian and what type of girlfriend would be ideal for me.
