Eiffel Tower, grounds, Exposition Universelle, 1900 (Final Sale)
With its waving flags and congregations in the distance, Eiffel Tower, grounds, Exposition Universelle, 1900 marks the third edition from the Paris collection. A fitting companion to Eiffel Tower, Exposition Universelle, 1900, today’s edition is a lively, celebratory (and alternate) view of the monument and its milieu during the highly-attended world’s fair. Taken from the Trocadero district, the image features the covered, adorned pont d’Iena (Jena Bridge) to the left. Spanning the River Seine, it connects the Right Bank, where the Trocadero is, to the Left Bank, where the Eiffel Tower and Champs de Mars (which housed a great portion of the fair) are located, and where La Grand Roue once stood.
